赤穂緞通の文様『利剣文』をモチーフにした京唐紙を、欧州風の額縁で額装しました。利剣とは鋭利な剣を表し、煩悩や悪魔を打ち破る仏の智慧、邪悪なものを追い払う意味が込められています。熟練した唐紙職人が2色版の柄を丁寧に手摺りで行い、顔料には雲母（キラ）が含まれているため、見る角度や光の当て方によって柄の輝きが変化します。青と白の配色が美しく、ヨーロッパとオリエントの融合をイメージしています。

Because skilled craftsmen carefully print every two-color pattern by hand and its pigments include Kira (mica), the patterns look different when viewed from different angles or exposed to light. The beautiful combination of blue and white is suggestive of a fusion of Europe and Orient.
