赤穂緞通の文様『御寮文』をモチーフにした小座布団。1900年頃（明治から昭和）にかけて天皇・皇后の御召列車、東宮御船、枢密院玉座用に納められていたと思われる赤穂緞通の高貴な文様です。生地は綿サテンを使用しているため、美しい光沢感があります。老舗寝具店の熟練された職人が長年の経験と勘を頼りに、生地に対してかなりの量がある中綿をひとつひとつ丁寧に詰めていきます。体重のかかる中央部には中綿を多めに入れることで、くぼみにくくするなど座り心地にもこだわっています。

Kozabuton (small cushion) with Goryo-mon motifs from Ako Dantsu pattern. It’s a noble pattern which is said to have been presented to the Imperial train, the Crown Prince’s boat, and the throne seat of the Privy Council. Covered with cotton satin, it has a beautiful glossy surface. Skilled craftsmen from time-honored bedding supplier stuff each cushion carefully with a considerable amount of cotton relative to the fabrics, relying on years of experience and intuition. Extra cotton in the central, weight-bearing point prevents it from sagging. They are made paying attention to comfortable seating as well.
